I think that point 5 is a particularly good one nowadays. I suspect that as so many companies have to cut advertising costs and find new ways to promote their products, people with expertise in web marketing could benefit greatly.

Actually, I suspect that jobs of the kind you describe could actually increase in number quite dramatically over the next year or so.

Great article, I like all of them except I am not taking a cab unless I am out drinking alone and want to be safe getting home. But the self employed one I like, I could get laided off today and still earn enough to survive with the knowledge I have to make money on the net.

The library thing was taken right out from my personal experience. There was this period of 6 months where I literally lived every single school day in my polytechnic library, which was when I had developed a new-found interest in reading. Could say that I got used to many words that I never used before till recently, and it did help that the first time I got hold onto a book was from a shelve near my desk and it was from the Business / Management section. :)

Worry does solve something... It helps to kill off time. But I sure hope that no one would ever want to be good in worrying. Right? :)

You are right. There is no point worrying excessively. It is best to channel our efforts into doing something productive while in between jobs.

Blogging helps a person to not live in denial, but to understand his own situation at that point of time while building up confidence that will get himself back on track, and probably find himself in a totally better job even in the midst of this financial crisis.
