Heya! Thanks for the quick response. :D

The cool part is that I realized that it's usually kept at the transparent side of the wallet cos' it's small and doesn't look intrusive at all. Might wanna try using this concept for your own as a business card. :)

This is something quite impressive. I'll try this after exams for sure. :D Thanks for the tutorial Daniel :)
  • Daniel Richard · 11 months ago
You're welcome! I can't wait to see your version of it after your exams. :)

Thanks for the tutorial --- didn't know you had so many friends (LOL). I like using PDF documents to send to the print shop. My local shop accepts email attachments. That could save me time and calories off your 3 hours...
  • Daniel Richard · 11 months ago
Haha. I've printed about 150 copies (had about another approx. 30 pieces spoilt due to slicing error) in fact. The neat part is to see the card in my friends' wallets days later. :)

Of course, getting the print shop to do the slicing should be better. Hope ya enjoyed this tutorial!

A good ideas. I want to try it now. This going to save a lot on my business card cost.
  • Daniel Richard · 11 months ago
Glad that you liked this idea Hamdani! I'm sure you'd stand out among your peers when you show off your new card. Haha.

It's an unique idea, I've used some of the basic mini cards as my business card too!
  • Daniel Richard · 11 months ago
    You did? That's awesome!
  • Tamal Anwar · 11 months ago
Yes I did, but those were plain cards, my name, web address and my phone number on it -your cards are just like the actual business cards. I think the cards are offline backlinks for a blog
  • Daniel Richard · 11 months ago
It's good (but slightly more expensive due to printing costs and travelling) exposure with these minicards. Yeah, offline backlinks. Haha. I havn't heard that one yet till now. :)

I have been thinking of making some business cards but have not gotten round to it yet. Thanks for the reminder!!
  • Daniel Richard · 11 months ago
Lol. I've branded myself as someone who puts the necessary details up on the front with this mini card thing - there's only my name (it's also the logo), contacts, and web address which serves pretty much well enough.

Hope yours will be outstanding too! Do send one copy to me when ya got it done! :D

    Yes you should! :)

Very interesting! I used to get from vendor at about 24SGD for 200... It's good if we can save some money by doing this.
  • Daniel Richard · 11 months ago
Haha. Time to make friends with one of the nearby print shop to be able to help save some money. I got to play with one of their huge slicer thingy to get things done first - and beat the queue. :)

    Great job!
I have a irrelated question, what's the name of wordpress plugin you use to slideshow these photos?
  • Daniel Richard · 11 months ago
Heya Zun Long (I hope I get your name right). I used jQuery's lightbox (gotta do some search on Google for this version - my comp crashed earlier and I don't have the zipped copy with me) to do this.

    jQuery lightbox. :)

This is an easy, affordable way for anyone to create some offline advertisement. Especially if you, say, have a poetry site and go to poetry readings or groups, you can hand out cards to the other members. Great DIY job!

Yeps Kristi! I suppose ya gonna be making some of those with your photos? Like a cropped preview that fits in the card, and the only way to see it in full view is to go to your website. Haha. Glad that you liked this tutorial. :D

Very easy to follow step by step guide.
