Great to see that Quirk SearchStatus is the first place you and look to get a site update - I must say, we heck of a proud of it!
I think your 3 points are excellent. Companies and bloggers alike don't take the time to define their objectives and are often left with a weak scattershot strategy - a waste of time and money if you ask me.
I would add a 4th point though : add value to your readers. You clearly do this but its not always the case, bloggers all to often commit acts of word-vomit and simply regurgitate others work and idea. The way people consume information has fundimentally changed and if the content doesn't provide them with direct value then you will fast be loosing repeat visitors - not something a blogger wants.
Keep up the good SearchStatus fight and please have a look at the newest version at www.quirk.biz .
Cheers,
Tim
