Daniel Richard: What Is My Cashflow Muse: An Announcement and a Lifestyle Design Experiment

  • Mike King · 4 months ago
Daniel, while I am always curious about people's endeavors online, my first question is and always will be, WHY? Why do you want this lifestyle change and what do you truly hope to get out of it? If you can't answer that, its not worth doing. I hope you are willing to reveal that as well as it is crucial to such a lifestyle change.

Heya Mike! Thanks for the comment. I'd be glad to reveal the answer to your question too. :)

I'm now currently working part-time in a sales related job (though now taking a break due to a call-up for my first reservist cycle) for 16 days. At the meantime, I've been offered 12 more sales positions since the 5th day in my job. My current company is looking to pull me up to a sales representative position once my reservist period ends.

Hence, it was stated in the 3rd section that I'm doing this lifestyle design experiment from the existing income stream that's totally offline, to creating another source through the web (like what I've done for my parents).

The only challenge now is that I'm funding almost entirely by every activity done myself. So, that includes paying the bills, debts, etc - while liberating myself through this experiment.

At the same time, there have been a handful of people who's curious to know whether it is possible, so... why not? Leverage on my existing skills to achieve that, and account for at the same time (psst. allows for additional content on the blog for those who are interested in liberation projects *smiles*).

Hope this reply answers the query. Thanks again Mike!

I started a blog to try to make money 2 months ago. I have adsense and an amazon store. I got pretty good traffic from what seems like non stop promoting but not a whole lot from adsense and nothing from amazon.
  • Daniel Richard · 4 months ago
Wow! That means passive income can really be generated online. :)

I have yet to test out Google Adsense since late 2008. Prior to having any flow of traffic in my websites. However, back then, I was still a "n00b". Hence, it was a massive fail. Haha.

Anyways, I never intended to create any income generating sites before this month (prior to this post). Most of the ads early readers get to see were just there as a test try and after some of my friends asked if I was interested in "monetizing" my site. Well, you can see from all my posts that every article were created for fun.

So... This post is an announcement to help friends who's been bugging me on Facebook and asking directions on creating "a muse" or "passive income" online, that they can now finally track my activity online openly, and get some first hand action through the reports here. :)

P.S.: You might wanna reveal to me via email on your existing site. Allow me a sneak peak of it while we are on the topic of blog and money stuff. Thanks!

Yo Dan, I've experimenting making money from all sort of things... from forex, stocks to making money online. Well it is not an easy ride indeed. It takes perserverance and lots of optimism. Without an internal drive to succeed, I think it won't be possible find the answer to making money.
  • Daniel Richard · 4 months ago
Yeps, I gotta agree with with you on the internal drive. It's pretty basic stuff really. Get a proven business model, and work on it. :)

This entire lifestyle design experiment thing is getting some flak now even in my Facebook messages. Let's see how thing goes yeps.

So far it's looking good! Keep it up!

By the way, may I know what kind niche of people would be interested in your blogs?
  • Daniel Richard · 4 months ago
Heya! Thanks for the support. :)

As mentioned in this post, all blogs started before this experiment were not out here solely as a income generating source, and I didn't focus anything on the technical stuff like SEO.

It was only recently that I'm getting back half a thousand hits (quarter thousand uniques) daily from this blog alone. I can't say much about what niche of people would be interested here.

However, for Zen Sales, most of my recent viewers were looking to buy the book featured (and bought), while a last check a couple of minutes ago showed that it's getting organic visits onto one of the 3 other posts there. :)

Praisewall is a Christian based blog that I've created (purchased 2 years ago w/o developing it) that I'm giving back to the community as a gift where I could express my writings freely.

However, readers here would definitely get to see my first report at the end of the month for this lifestyle design experiment - to see how far this could go (or perhaps burnt out?).

    Do stay tuned.

I like your candid breakdown and transparency.

What's your biggest driver for the change?
  • Daniel Richard · 4 months ago
Haha thanks. Honesty is still the best policy to getting all answers done.

What's my biggest driver for the change? Hmm. I don't necessarily think that this experimental thing is like a change at all. What I was planning ahead for this month was to source for two niches, and build two websites that would allow me to sell the products w/o me being physically there. :)

Or I could just simply say... "Liberation by automation".

And focus more into writing. :)
